Article 403 of the French Customs Code

If it is not found that there are grounds for seizure, the sum of 0.76 euros must be paid to the person whose home was searched, in accordance with article 64 above, subject to any greater damages to which the circumstances of the visit may give rise.

S’il n’est point constaté qu’il y ait motif de saisie, il doit être payé la somme de 0,76 euro à celui au domicile duquel les recherches ont été faites, en vertu de l’article 64 ci-dessus, sauf plus grands dommages et intérêts auxquels les circonstances de la visite peuvent éventuellement donner lieu.
