Article 440 of the French Customs Code

Without prejudice to the application of the penalties laid down in this Code, the offences of insult, assault, rebellion, corruption or prevarication and those of contraband with assembly and carrying weapons shall be prosecuted, tried and punished in accordance with ordinary law.

Sans préjudice de l’application des pénalités édictées par le présent code, les délits d’injures, voies de fait, rébellion, corruption ou prévarication et ceux de contrebande avec attroupement et port d’armes sont poursuivis, jugés et punis conformément au droit commun.
