Article 47 of the French Customs Code

1. Customs offices are established and abolished by orders of the Minister of the Economy and Finance on the proposal of the Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxation.

2. When the office is located within the customs radius, the order prescribing its establishment or closure must be posted, at the behest of the Prefect, in the municipality in which the office is located and in neighbouring municipalities.

Article 47

1. Les bureaux de douane sont établis et supprimés par des arrêtés du ministre de l’économie et des finances sur la proposition du directeur général des douanes et droits indirects.

2. Lorsque le bureau est situé à l’intérieur du rayon des douanes, l’arrêté qui prescrit sa création ou sa suppression doit être affiché, à la diligence du préfet, dans la commune où se trouve le bureau et dans les communes limitrophes.
