Article 486 of the French Civil Code

The mandatary responsible for administering the protected person’s assets has an inventory made of them when the measure is opened. He shall ensure that it is updated during the course of the mandate in order to keep the state of the assets up to date.

He shall draw up an annual account of his management, which shall be verified in accordance with the procedures defined by the mandate and which the judge may in any event have verified in accordance with the procedures set out in article 512.

Article 486

Le mandataire chargé de l’administration des biens de la personne protégée fait procéder à leur inventaire lors de l’ouverture de la mesure. Il assure son actualisation au cours du mandat afin de maintenir à jour l’état du patrimoine.

Il établit annuellement le compte de sa gestion qui est vérifié selon les modalités définies par le mandat et que le juge peut en tout état de cause faire vérifier selon les modalités prévues à l’article 512.
