Article 501 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the court rules on an application for release in accordance with articles 148-1 and 148-2 as well as when it rules on an application to release or modify a judicial supervision order or house arrest with electronic surveillance, the appeal must be lodged within twenty-four hours.

Lorsque le tribunal statue sur une demande de mise en liberté conformément aux articles 148-1 et 148-2 ainsi que lorsqu’il statue sur une demande de mainlevée ou de modification de contrôle judiciaire ou de l’assignation à résidence avec surveillance électronique, l’appel doit être formé dans un délai de vingt-quatre heures.
