Article 533 of the French Code of civil procedure

If the party who served the judgment is deceased, the action may be served at the domicile of the deceased, on his heirs and representatives, collectively and without designation of names and capacities.

Judgment may not, however, be sought against the heirs and representatives unless each has been summoned to appear.

Si la partie qui a notifié le jugement est décédée, le recours peut être notifié au domicile du défunt, à ses héritiers et représentants, collectivement et sans désignation de noms et qualités.

Un jugement ne peut toutefois être requis contre les héritiers et représentants que si chacun a été cité à comparaître.
