Article 562 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If the person resides abroad, he or she is summoned to the public prosecutor’s office at the court seised. The public prosecutor shall endorse the original and send a copy to the Minister of Foreign Affairs or to any authority determined by international conventions.

The provisions of the previous paragraph shall apply to legal entities that have their registered office abroad.

Article 562

Si la personne réside à l’étranger, elle est citée au parquet du procureur de la République près le tribunal saisi. Le procureur de la République vise l’original et en envoie la copie au ministre des affaires étrangères ou à toute autorité déterminée par les conventions internationales.

Les dispositions de l’alinéa précédent sont applicables aux personnes morales qui ont leur siège à l’étranger.
