Where the Cour de cassation quashes a judgment of an investigating chamber ruling on an appeal against a settlement order, it remits the trial and the parties to another investigating chamber which becomes competent to continue the proceedings as a whole.
Where the Cour de cassation quashes a judgment of an investigating chamber other than those referred to in the preceding paragraph, the jurisdiction of the referring investigating chamber is limited, unless the Cour de cassation decides otherwise, to the resolution of the dispute that gave rise to its referral and, after final decision, subject to the provisions of the first paragraph of Article 207, the case file shall be returned to the Investigating Chamber originally seised, for the purposes provided for, where applicable, by the second paragraph of the said Article or by the third paragraph of article 206.
