Article 670-2 of the French Code of civil procedure

If the document is intended for a person residing in French Polynesia, the Wallis and Futuna Islands, New Caledonia and the French Southern and Antarctic Territories, and unless notification could be made by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, the court registrar shall send the document to the competent authority for delivery to the person concerned in accordance with the procedures applicable in the community in which he resides.

The competent authority shall inform the court of the steps taken; it shall forward to the court, where appropriate, any report or receipt recording the delivery of the document.

Article 670-2

Si l’acte est destiné à une personne qui demeure en Polynésie française, dans les îles Wallis et Futuna, en Nouvelle-Calédonie et dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises, et à moins que la notification ait pu être faite par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception, le greffier de la juridiction expédie l’acte à l’autorité compétente aux fins de sa remise à l’intéressé selon les modalités applicables dans la collectivité où il demeure.

L’autorité compétente informe la juridiction des diligences faites ; elle lui transmet, le cas échéant, tout procès-verbal ou récépissé constatant la remise de l’acte.
