Article 671 of the French General Tax Code

When, in any act, whether civil, judicial or extrajudicial, there are several provisions which are independent or do not necessarily derive from each other, a particular tax or duty is due for each of them, and according to its type. The amount is determined by the article of this Code in which the provision is classified, or to which it relates.

Lorsque, dans un acte quelconque, soit civil, soit judiciaire ou extrajudiciaire, il y a plusieurs dispositions indépendantes ou ne dérivant pas nécessairement les unes des autres, il est dû pour chacune d’elles, et selon son espèce, une taxe ou un droit particulier. La quotité en est déterminée par l’article du présent code dans lequel la disposition se trouve classée, ou auquel elle se rapporte.
