Article 689-13 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the application of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, adopted in New York on 20 December 2006, may be prosecuted and tried under the conditions provided for in article 689-1 of this code any person guilty of or complicit in a crime defined in 9° of article 212-1 or in Article 221-12 of the Criminal Code when this offence constitutes an enforced disappearance within the meaning of Article 2 of the aforementioned Convention.

Article 689-13

Pour l’application de la convention internationale pour la protection de toutes les personnes contre les disparitions forcées, adoptée à New York, le 20 décembre 2006, peut être poursuivie et jugée dans les conditions prévues à l’article 689-1 du présent code toute personne coupable ou complice d’un crime défini au 9° de l’article 212-1 ou à l’article 221-12 du code pénal lorsque cette infraction constitue une disparition forcée au sens de l’article 2 de la convention précitée.
