Article 696-24 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

A person provisionally arrested under the conditions provided for in Article 696-23 shall be released if, within a period of thirty days from the date of his arrest, where this was carried out at the request of the competent authorities of the requesting State, the French Government does not receive one of the documents mentioned in Article 696-8.

If the aforementioned documents subsequently reach the French Government, the procedure shall be resumed, in accordance with articles 696-9 et seq.

Article 696-24

La personne arrêtée provisoirement dans les conditions prévues à l’article 696-23 est mise en liberté si, dans un délai de trente jours à dater de son arrestation, lorsque celle-ci aura été opérée à la demande des autorités compétentes de l’Etat requérant, le gouvernement français ne reçoit pas l’un des documents mentionnés à l’article 696-8.

Si, ultérieurement, les pièces susvisées parviennent au gouvernement français, la procédure est reprise, conformément aux articles 696-9 et suivants.
