Article 696-49 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the preparation and during the execution of decisions taken pursuant to this Chapter, the competent authorities of the issuing State and the executing State shall, unless this is impracticable, consult each other in particular to determine whether the executing State consents to the transmission of a decision to place the person under judicial supervision pursuant to 2° of Article 696-52.

Pour la préparation et au cours de l’exécution des décisions prises en application du présent chapitre, les autorités compétentes de l’Etat d’émission et de l’Etat d’exécution, sauf impossibilité pratique, se consultent notamment pour déterminer si l’Etat d’exécution consent à la transmission d’une décision de placement sous contrôle judiciaire en application du 2° de l’article 696-52.
