Article 706-25-13 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

No reconciliation or interconnection, within the meaning of Article 33 of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and civil liberties, may be carried out between the file provided for in this section and any other file or collection of nominative data held by any person or by a State service not under the authority of the Ministry of Justice, with the exception of the file of persons sought for the purposes of the procedures provided for in this section.

No file or collection of nominative data held by any person whatsoever or by a State department not dependent on the Ministry of Justice may mention, except in the cases and under the conditions provided for by law, the information contained in the file.

Any breach of the first two paragraphs of this article shall be punishable by the penalties incurred for the offence provided for in article 226-21 of the Penal Code.

Aucun rapprochement ni aucune interconnexion, au sens de l’article 33 de la loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978 relative à l’informatique, aux fichiers et aux libertés, ne peuvent être effectués entre le fichier prévu à la présente section et tout autre fichier ou recueil de données nominatives détenu par une personne quelconque ou par un service de l’Etat ne dépendant pas du ministère de la justice, à l’exception du fichier des personnes recherchées pour l’exercice des diligences prévues à la présente section.

Aucun fichier ou recueil de données nominatives détenu par une personne quelconque ou par un service de l’Etat ne dépendant pas du ministère de la justice ne peut mentionner, hors les cas et dans les conditions prévus par la loi, les informations figurant dans le fichier.

Toute infraction aux deux premiers alinéas du présent article est punie des peines encourues pour le délit prévu à l’article 226-21 du code pénal.
