At all stages of the proceedings, a minor who is the victim of a crime or offence may, at his or her request, be accompanied by his or her legal representative and, where applicable, by the adult of his or her choice, unless article 706-50 has been applied or unless a reasoned decision to the contrary has been taken by the competent judicial authority. He or she may be accompanied, under the same conditions, by a representative of an approved victim support association.
During the investigation or inquiry, hearings or confrontations of a minor who is the victim of one of the offences mentioned in article 706-47 are carried out by decision of the public prosecutor or investigating judge, where applicable at the request of the minor or his legal representative, in the presence of a psychologist or doctor specialising in children or a member of the minor’s family or the ad hoc administrator appointed pursuant to article 706-50 or a person entrusted with a mandate by the children’s judge.
