Article 713-26 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the location of the property has not been indicated precisely enough in the certificate, the public prosecutor shall consult the competent authority of the issuing State.

Where the property mentioned in the confiscation order has already been confiscated, has disappeared, has been destroyed or cannot be found at the location indicated in the certificate, or where the amount cannot be recovered and the person has no property on the territory of the Republic, the public prosecutor shall inform the competent authority of the issuing State of the impossibility of enforcing the order by any means that leaves a written record.

Lorsque l’endroit où se trouve le bien n’a pas été indiqué de manière assez précise dans le certificat, le procureur de la République consulte l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’émission.

Lorsque le bien mentionné dans la décision de confiscation a déjà été confisqué, a disparu, a été détruit ou ne peut être retrouvé à l’endroit indiqué dans le certificat ou lorsque le montant ne peut être recouvré et que la personne ne dispose d’aucun bien sur le territoire de la République, le procureur de la République informe l’autorité compétente de l’Etat d’émission de l’impossibilité d’exécuter la décision par tout moyen laissant une trace écrite.
