Article 731 of the French Code of civil procedure

The decision is transmitted with all relevant documents by the registry of the assigning court to the court assigned. Upon receipt, the operations prescribed shall be carried out on the initiative of the assigned court or of the judge designated for this purpose by the president of that court.

The parties or persons who must assist the court shall be directly summoned or notified by the assigned court. The parties are not required to constitute a lawyer before that court.

La décision est transmise avec tous documents utiles par le greffe de la juridiction commettante à la juridiction commise. Dès réception, il est procédé aux opérations prescrites à l’initiative de la juridiction commise ou du juge que le président de cette juridiction désigne à cet effet.

Les parties ou les personnes qui doivent apporter leur concours à la justice sont directement convoquées ou avisées par la juridiction commise. Les parties ne sont pas tenues de constituer avocat devant cette juridiction.
