A convicted offender placed under mobile electronic surveillance is required to wear, for the entire duration of the placement, a device incorporating a transmitter enabling his or her location to be determined remotely at any time throughout the national territory.
This device is fitted to the convicted offender no later than one week before his or her release.
The process used is approved for this purpose by the Minister of Justice. Its implementation must guarantee respect for the dignity, integrity and privacy of the person and promote his or her social reintegration.
