Article 777-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Any person providing proof of identity shall obtain, upon request to the Public Prosecutor at the judicial court in whose jurisdiction they reside, a full record of the criminal records concerning them.

In the case of a legal entity, the request is addressed to the public prosecutor at the judicial court in whose jurisdiction the legal entity has its registered office, by its legal representative providing proof of his capacity.

If the person resides or has its registered office abroad, the communication is made through the competent diplomatic agent or consul.

The communication does not constitute notification of non-final decisions and does not start the time limits for appeals.

No copy of this full statement may be issued.

The provisions of this article also apply to the technical police record.

Toute personne justifiant de son identité obtient, sur demande adressée au procureur de la République près le tribunal judiciaire dans le ressort duquel elle réside, communication du relevé intégral des mentions du casier judiciaire la concernant.

Lorsqu’il s’agit d’une personne morale, la demande est adressée au procureur de la République près le tribunal judiciaire dans le ressort duquel elle a son siège, par son représentant légal justifiant de sa qualité.

Si la personne réside ou a son siège à l’étranger, la communication est faite par l’intermédiaire de l’agent diplomatique ou du consul compétent.

La communication ne vaut pas notification des décisions non définitives et ne fait pas courir les délais de recours.

Aucune copie de ce relevé intégral ne peut être délivrée.

Les dispositions du présent article sont également applicables au sommier de police technique.
