Article 813-7 of the French Civil Code

At the request of any interested person or the Public Prosecutor, the judge may relieve the estate agent of his mission in the event of a clear breach in the exercise thereof. He will then appoint another estate agent, for a period that he defines.

A la demande de toute personne intéressée ou du ministère public, le juge peut dessaisir le mandataire successoral de sa mission en cas de manquement caractérisé dans l’exercice de celle-ci. Il désigne alors un autre mandataire successoral, pour une durée qu’il définit.
