Article 823 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

For the application of the provisions of Article 145 in the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands, the examining magistrate may order the provisional incarceration of the person under investigation. The latter must appear before the juge des libertés et de la détention as soon as possible and, at the latest, on the seventh working day thereafter.

The period provided for in the second paragraph of Article 187-1 is also extended to seven working days.

Pour l’application des dispositions de l’article 145 dans le territoire des îles Wallis-et-Futuna, le juge d’instruction peut ordonner l’incarcération provisoire de la personne mise en examen. Celle-ci doit comparaître devant le juge des libertés et de la détention dans les meilleurs délais et, au plus tard, le septième jour ouvrable suivant.

Le délai prévu au deuxième alinéa de l’article 187-1 est également porté à sept jours ouvrables.
