Where the co-sharer himself has a claim to be asserted, he is allotted his debt only if, when balanced, the account shows a balance in favour of the undivided estate.

Lorsque le copartageant a lui-même une créance à faire valoir, il n’est alloti de sa dette que si, balance faite, le compte présente un solde en faveur de la masse indivise.
