Article 873 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Article 763 reads as follows:

“Art. 763.-In the event that a sentence handed down in a criminal case is time-barred, the convicted person is automatically and permanently subject to a ban on residence in the district or administrative subdivision where the victim of the crime or their direct heirs live. “

” Art. 763.-En cas de prescription d’une peine prononcée en matière criminelle, le condamné est soumis de plein droit et à titre définitif à l’interdiction de séjour, dans la circonscription ou subdivision administrative où demeurent la victime du crime ou ses héritiers directs. “
