Exceptional selective financial aid is awarded to natural or legal persons who, through their activity as an artistic agent, communications agent or press officer, contribute to the development of cinematographic creation and the promotion of the cinema and whose financial situation and economic prospects have been particularly affected due to the deteriorated conditions of production and exhibition of cinematographic works linked to the health crisis, despite the aid they have been able to benefit from as part of the support set up by the State.
The activity of artistic agent is that defined in article L. 7121-9 of the French Labour Code or a similar activity carried out on behalf of authors of cinematographic works.
The activity of communications agent consists of ensuring the promotion of cinematographic works with a view to their screening in cinemas, in particular through the design, manufacture and distribution of communications media and the purchase of advertising space, regardless of the form and methods of communication used, as well as through the organisation of events or participation in events aimed at publicising the works.
The job of press officer involves promoting the activities of distribution companies and the cinematographic works they distribute to cinemas, in particular by developing and implementing a media communication strategy and by organising events or meetings with producers, authors and performers of cinematographic works for journalists specialising in the film industry.
