Chapter IX: Provisions relating to exceptional support for the film and moving image sector due to the deteriorated conditions for the production and exhibition of works linked to the health crisis

Exceptional aid is allocated in the form of a direct grant to authors of works in the documentary genre to enable them to create new works by compensating for part of the loss of income they have suffered as a result of the deteriorated conditions of production and exhibition of cinematographic works linked to the health crisis.

To be eligible for exceptional assistance, authors must be French nationals or equivalent.

The authors must have previously collaborated on writing or directing at least one cinematographic work in the documentary genre:1° Released in cinemas in France in 2020 or 2021 or scheduled to be released in cinemas in 2020 but which could not be released due to the ban on admission to cinemas;2° Produced under production conditions allowing production approval to be granted;3° Produced entirely or mainly in the original version in…

The exceptional aid is subject to compliance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid.
