The decision to grant aid is taken after consultation with the Committee for Exceptional Selective Aid to Foreign Sales Companies, which is made up of four members, including a chairman.

Exceptional aid is awarded in the form of a grant.The decision to award the aid or, where applicable, the agreement signed with the foreign sales company, sets out the terms and conditions for payment of the exceptional aid and the circumstances in which it is repaid.
