Article 934 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

By way of derogation from the provisions of the second and third paragraphs of Article 712-2, the president of the court of first instance shall exercise the functions of a sentence enforcement judge. He or she shall exercise the powers devolved to the sentence enforcement court in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 712-3.

Par dérogation aux dispositions des deuxième et troisième alinéas de l’article 712-2, le président du tribunal de première instance exerce les fonctions de juge de l’application des peines. Il exerce les attributions dévolues au tribunal de l’application des peines conformément aux dispositions du deuxième alinéa de l’article 712-3.
