Article 967 of the French Code of civil procedure

The copy of the declaration, application or joint application shall, as soon as it has been delivered to the registry, be presented by the registrar to the first president with a view to the formalities of fixing and distribution.

The decision of the first president shall be the subject of a simple mention in the margin of the copy.

La copie de la déclaration, de la requête ou de la requête conjointe est, dès sa remise au greffe, présentée par le greffier au premier président en vue des formalités de fixation et de distribution.
