Article 985 of the French Civil Code

Wills made in a place with which all communication is impossible because of a contagious disease may be made by any person suffering from that disease or situated in places infected with it, before the judge of the judicial court or before one of the municipal officers of the commune, in the presence of two witnesses.

Les testaments faits dans un lieu avec lequel toute communication est impossible à cause d’une maladie contagieuse peuvent être faits par toute personne atteinte de cette maladie ou située dans des lieux qui en sont infectés, devant le juge du tribunal judiciaire ou devant l’un des officiers municipaux de la commune, en présence de deux témoins.
