Article A212-127 of the French Sports Code

Candidates for the specific part of the third-degree state diploma in sports education must pass the following tests:
A. – Organisation, management and responsible teaching of at least two national training courses of at least thirty-five hours each, under the supervision of the national technical director or his representative (coefficient 3).
These courses cover :
– athlete training;
– management training.
Candidates are judged on the design, organisation and running of these courses and on the report they produce.
The final overall mark is awarded on the basis of the general report drawn up by the national technical director or his representative or, in his absence, by the high-level technical manager mentioned.
B. – Submission of a dissertation on a prospective study of the organisation of the sports option with regard to competitions, management training, detection, selection and preparation of high-level sportsmen and women in all their technical, administrative and social aspects. This document must be at least twenty-five pages long (duration: one hour; coefficient 3).

Le candidat à la partie spécifique du brevet d’Etat d’éducateur sportif du troisième degré doit satisfaire aux épreuves suivantes :
A. ― Organisation, direction et enseignement en situation de responsabilité d’au moins deux stages nationaux d’une durée minimale de trente-cinq heures chacun, sous le contrôle du directeur technique national ou de son représentant (coefficient 3).
Ces stages portent sur :
― l’entraînement d’athlètes ;
― la formation de cadres.
Le candidat est jugé sur la conception, l’organisation, le déroulement de ces stages et sur le rapport qu’il en effectue.
La note globale définitive est attribuée d’après le rapport général établi par le directeur technique national ou son représentant ou, à défaut, par le cadre technique de haut niveau mentionné.
B. ― Soutenance d’un mémoire portant sur une étude prospective de l’organisation de l’option sportive en ce qui concerne les compétitions, la formation des cadres, la détection, la sélection et la préparation de sportifs de haut niveau sous leurs aspects techniques, administratifs et sociaux. Ce document doit comprendre vingt-cinq pages au minimum (durée : une heure ; coefficient 3).
