After passing one or more selection tests, the training leading to the common part of the brevet d’Etat d’éducateur sportif à trois degrés in the form of continuous assessment of knowledge takes place.
For the common part of the brevet d’Etat d’éducateur sportif du premier degré:
– either during a training period of at least 160 hours spread over a maximum period of twelve weeks;
– or during a training period of at least 200 hours spread over a maximum period of nine months.
For the common part of the second-degree state diploma for sports instructors:
– either during a training course lasting a minimum of 300 hours, which may be spread over a maximum period of twenty-five weeks;
– or during a training course lasting a minimum of 350 hours, spread over a maximum period of one year.
For the common part of the third-degree state diploma for sports instructors:
– either during a training course lasting a minimum of 300 hours, spread over a maximum period of twenty-five weeks;
– or during a training course lasting a minimum of 350 hours, spread over a maximum period of one year.
This training may be divided into several training units corresponding to the different parts of the programme listed in appendix II-6 for the first level, appendix II-7 for the second level and appendix II-8 for the third level of this code.
The jury, in accordance with article A. 212-112, draws up the list of persons proposed for final admission, in the light of the results obtained during the continuous assessment of knowledge of the common part. The candidate receives a certificate of successful completion.
The common part cannot be obtained if a mark of less than 10 out of 20 is awarded for any of the training units that make up the common part. The candidate may retain the benefit of the training unit(s) for which he/she has obtained a mark equal to or higher than 10 out of 20 for training at the same establishment.
