Article A212-169 of the French Sports Code

General training common to the teaching, supervision and training professions in mountain sports is provided by the National Mountain Sports School.
The National Mountain Sports School may delegate the organisation of common general training for teaching, supervision and training in mountain sports to an establishment or another training body with an agreement to this effect, after receiving the opinion of the permanent sections for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and mountaineering of the training and employment commission of the Higher Council for Mountain Sports, meeting in joint formation.

La formation générale commune aux métiers d’enseignement, d’encadrement et d’entraînement des sports de montagne est assurée par l’Ecole nationale des sports de montagne.
L’Ecole nationale des sports de montagne peut déléguer l’organisation de la formation générale commune aux métiers d’enseignement, d’encadrement et d’entraînement des sports de montagne à un établissement ou un autre organisme de formation conventionné à cet effet, après avis des sections permanentes du ski alpin, du ski de fond et de l’alpinisme de la commission de la formation et de l’emploi du Conseil supérieur des sports de montagne, réunies en formation commune.
