Article A212-171 of the French Sports Code

The training course, which lasts a minimum of thirty-five hours, is structured around the following five themes:
1° Theme 1: regulatory framework for teaching, supervising and training in mountain sports;
2° Theme 2: approach to the economic and tourist activity of mountain sports;
3° Theme 3: knowledge of the natural mountain environment;
4° Theme 4: welcoming different publics, including schoolchildren, to mountain environments;
5° Theme 5: exercise physiology adapted to mountain sports.
The training is coordinated by an educational manager appointed by the National Mountain Sports School.

Le cursus de formation, d’une durée minimale de trente-cinq heures, est articulé autour des cinq thématiques suivantes :
1° Thématique 1 : cadre réglementaire des métiers d’enseignement, d’encadrement et d’entraînement des sports de montagne ;
2° Thématique 2 : approche de l’activité économique et touristique des sports de montagne ;
3° Thématique 3 : connaissance du milieu naturel montagnard ;
4° Thématique 4 : accueil des différents publics, dont le public scolaire, en milieu montagnard ;
5° Thématique 5 : physiologie de l’effort adaptée aux sports de montagne.
La formation est coordonnée par un responsable pédagogique désigné par l’Ecole nationale des sports de montagne.
