Article A37-27-4 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

When the official report concerns a lump-sum fine and was drawn up using the secure electronic device, sheet no. 4 is not used and can be destroyed.

In all other cases, slips no. 2, 3, 4 and 5, used to record the deposit and signed by the ticketing officer, are also signed by the offender, who acknowledges having been informed, prior to payment, of the information on the back of the document; slip no. 4 is attached to the official report of the offence.

Lorsque le procès-verbal concerne une contravention forfaitisée et a été dressé au moyen de l’appareil électronique sécurisé, le feuillet n° 4 n’est pas utilisé et peut être détruit.

Dans les autres cas, les feuillets nos 2, 3, 4 et 5, utilisés pour constater la consignation et signés par l’agent verbalisateur, sont également signés par l’auteur de l’infraction qui reconnaît avoir été informé, avant paiement, des informations portées au verso du document ; le feuillet n° 4 est joint au procès-verbal de constatation de l’infraction.
