Article A444-4 of the French Commercial code

Withdrawal of a lot, in the seller’s interest, appearing in number 5 of the table mentioned in article A. 444-1 gives rise to the collection of a fee, payable by the seller, proportional to the figure of the last bid made before the withdrawal, at a rate equal to one sixth of that appearing in the scale in article A. 444-3.

Le retrait d’un lot, dans l’intérêt du vendeur, figurant au numéro 5 du tableau mentionné à l’article A. 444-1 donne lieu à la perception d’un émolument, à la charge du vendeur, proportionnel au chiffre de la dernière enchère portée avant le retrait, à un taux égal au sixième de celui figurant au barème de l’article A. 444-3.
