The maximum amount of reimbursement of expenses incurred by candidates is set, in each constituency of the regional chamber of commerce and industry, by the regional prefect, using as a reference framework the provisions of the decree in force setting the maximum rates of reimbursement of printing and posting expenses for election documents for municipal, community and metropolitan elections.
The application for reimbursement is sent to the territorial chamber of commerce and industry, or for the local and departmental chambers of commerce and industry in the Ile-de-France, to the regional chamber of commerce and industry.
Requests for reimbursement must be sent to the territorial chamber of commerce and industry or, in the case of the local and departmental chambers of commerce and industry of the Ile-de-France region, to the regional chamber of commerce and industry, by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt, within fifteen days of the date on which the election results are announced.
The request for reimbursement must be accompanied by a copy of the relevant documents.
The application for reimbursement must be accompanied by a copy of each of the documents likely to be taken into account in determining entitlement to reimbursement, as well as the supporting documents corresponding to the expenses actually incurred.
After approval, the current president of the region will send a copy of the application for reimbursement.
After approval, the current President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry concerned approves the request for reimbursement, which constitutes compulsory expenditure for the establishment. A copy of this decision is immediately sent to the regional prefect for information.
Within one month of receipt of the application endorsed by the President, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry concerned shall arrange for payment of the sums due.
