Article D1332-28 of the French Public Health Code

The person responsible for a bathing water shall take appropriate, realistic and proportionate measures to ensure that the bathing water is of at least “sufficient” quality, with a view to achieving “excellent” or “good” quality. It informs the mayor and the director general of the regional health agency of all these measures, at their request.

At the end of the 2015 bathing season, all bathing waters were of at least “sufficient” quality.

La personne responsable d’une eau de baignade prend les mesures appropriées, réalistes et proportionnées, pour que l’eau de baignade soit au moins de qualité ” suffisante ” et en vue d’atteindre la qualité ” excellente ” ou ” bonne “. Elle porte l’ensemble de ces mesures à la connaissance, à leur demande, du maire et du directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé.

A la fin de la saison balnéaire 2015, toutes les eaux de baignade sont au moins de qualité “suffisante”.
