I.-The Interministerial Committee for Health is responsible for :
1° Ensuring that the state of health of the population is improved and that inequalities in health are reduced;
2° Encouraging health education and health promotion to be taken into account in all public policies;
3° Ensuring that public health policies are coordinated at regional level.
II -To carry out its duties, the Committee, on the proposal of the Minister for Health :
1° Adopts an annual report on the state of health of the population and on inequalities in health ;
2° Monitors the development and implementation of action plans or programmes prepared by the ministers within the scope of their responsibilities, where the measures envisaged are likely to have a significant impact on the health of the population or on inequalities in health;
3° Adopts a summary of the activity reports of the public policy coordination commissions in the fields of prevention, school health, occupational health and maternal and child protection mentioned in article D. 1432-1 of the Public Health Code.
