Each year, the head of the national reference centre or “national reference centre-expert laboratory” submits an activity report, including a balance sheet and a financial statement, to the Minister for Health and the National Public Health Agency.
When the tasks of a national reference centre are carried out in conjunction with one or more “national reference centres-associated laboratories”, the head of the national reference centre is responsible for coordinating all activities and submits an annual report summarising the activities carried out by the various laboratories.
The activities of each national reference centre are evaluated at least once during its term of office by the National Reference Centres Committee.
