Article D1415-1-10 of the French Public Health Code

The eight-year period referred to in Article L. 1415-7 corresponds to the maximum period of funding for a research project under a grant awarding act, when the clinical or fundamental research project cannot be completed in five years due to its particular complexity.

The projects mentioned in the first paragraph may benefit from this time period by decision of the President of the Institut National du Cancer, taken after obtaining the opinion of at least two external assessors chosen by the President of the Institute for their expertise in the field concerned by the project.

Once a year, the President of the Institut National du Cancer presents a report to the Board of Directors on the implementation of this article.

La durée de huit ans mentionnée à l’article L. 1415-7 correspond à la durée maximale de financement d’un projet de recherche dans le cadre d’un acte attributif de subvention, lorsque le projet de recherche clinique ou de recherche fondamentale ne peut être achevé en cinq ans en raison de sa particulière complexité.

Les projets mentionnés au premier alinéa peuvent bénéficier de cette durée sur décision du président de l’Institut national du cancer, prise après avis d’au moins deux évaluateurs externes choisis par le président de l’institut pour leur expertise dans le domaine concerné par le projet.

Le président de l’Institut national du cancer présente une fois par an au conseil d’administration un rapport sur la mise en œuvre du présent article.
