Article D15-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The Public Prosecutor sends the Minister of Justice the annual criminal policy report on the application of the law and the general instructions, as well as the annual report on the activity and management of the public prosecutor’s offices within his jurisdiction, provided for in the third paragraph of article 35, before 31 March of the year following the year to which they relate.

The information contained in these two reports may be combined in a single report.

They shall include a summary of the reports sent to it by the public prosecutors within its jurisdiction pursuant to Article 39-1.

The Public Prosecutor communicates his report(s) to the first president of the court of appeal, for distribution to the judges before the next general meeting of judges and prosecutors, during which he informs this meeting of the conditions of implementation, within the jurisdiction of the court, of criminal policy and the general instructions that have been sent to him for this purpose by the Minister of Justice.

Article D15-2

Le procureur général adresse au ministre de la justice le rapport annuel de politique pénale sur l’application de la loi et des instructions générales ainsi que le rapport annuel sur l’activité et la gestion des parquets de son ressort, prévus par le troisième alinéa de l’article 35, avant le 31 mars de l’année suivant celle à laquelle ils se rapportent.

Les informations figurant dans ces deux rapports peuvent être regroupées dans un rapport unique.

Elles comportent une synthèse des rapports qui lui ont été transmis par les procureurs de la République de son ressort en application de l’article 39-1.

Le procureur général communique son ou ses rapports au premier président de la cour d’appel, pour diffusion aux magistrats du siège avant la prochaine assemblée générale des magistrats du siège et du parquet au cours de laquelle il informe cette assemblée des conditions de mise en œuvre, dans le ressort de la cour, de la politique pénale et des instructions générales qui lui ont été adressées à cette fin par le ministre de la justice.
