Article D15-4-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The Public Prosecutor at the judicial court in which there is no investigating division shall immediately notify the Public Prosecutor at the court in which that division is located when the provisions of the first paragraph of II of Article 80 of the last paragraph of Article 397-2 ou de l’article 397-7.

When this magistrate applies the provisions of article 397-7, he or she requests that the investigation be opened before the investigating division before presenting the person before the liberty and custody judge of his or her court, notifying him or her of the facts that are the subject of the introductory indictment.

Le procureur de la République près le tribunal judiciaire au sein duquel il n’y a pas de pôle d’instruction avise sans délai le procureur de la République près le tribunal au sein duquel se trouve ce pôle lorsqu’il est fait application des dispositions du premier alinéa du II de l’article 80 du dernier alinéa de l’article 397-2 ou de l’article 397-7.

Lorsque ce magistrat fait application des dispositions de l’article 397-7, il requiert l’ouverture de l’information devant le pôle de l’instruction avant de présenter la personne devant le juge des libertés et de la détention de son tribunal, en lui notifiant les faits faisant l’objet du réquisitoire introductif.
