Article D311-9 of the French Tourism Code

Establishments classified as tourist hotels are required to display a sign on their frontage in accordance with a model drawn up by the body referred to in article L. 141-2 and approved by order of the Minister responsible for tourism.

Les établissements classés hôtels de tourisme apposent obligatoirement sur leur façade un panonceau selon un modèle établi par l’organisme mentionné à l’article L. 141-2 et homologué par arrêté du ministre chargé du tourisme.
