Article D312-5-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The diplomatic or consular authorities, the departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the departments of the Ministry of the Interior shall provide the Commission and the Deputy Director of Visas with the information they need to examine the appeals referred to them.
