I.-The conclusion or renewal of the contract of engagement is subject to the reservist submitting to the Director General of the National Public Health Agency a certificate attesting to his or her medical fitness to carry out the activity provided for in the health reserve. The certificate specifies whether the person concerned meets the immunisation conditions set out in article L. 3111-4.
Recognition of medical fitness for an activity in the armed forces health service, the health and medical rescue service of the departmental fire and rescue service or an activity carried out as an employee of a health establishment constitutes recognition, upon production of the supporting certificate, of medical fitness for an activity of the same nature in the medical reserve.
At the time of mobilisation, if the reservist’s state of health does not allow him/her to carry out the missions likely to be entrusted to him/her, he/she will immediately inform the Director General of the National Public Health Agency.
II – The Director General of the National Public Health Agency may also take any useful measure, in particular request that the reservist undergo a medical examination or suspend the contract of engagement.
III – Expenses relating to the verification of medical fitness and, where applicable, to the medical follow-up required by the activity in the reserve are paid by the National Public Health Agency.
