Article D3142-5 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The conference meets at least twice a year. The notice of meeting, together with the agenda, drawn up jointly by the chairman of the General Council and the Prefect, is sent at least fifteen days before the date of the meeting.

The conference may, in addition, meet on a specific agenda, at the request of the chairman of the General Council, the Prefect or the majority of its members.

It may hear any person who can provide useful information.

The deliberations of the conference are recorded in the minutes of the meeting, which are signed by the chairman of the general council and the prefect; a copy is sent to each of the members.

La conférence se réunit au moins deux fois par an. La convocation, accompagnée de l’ordre du jour, arrêté conjointement par le président du conseil général et par le préfet, est adressée quinze jours au moins avant la date de la réunion.

La conférence peut, en outre, se réunir sur un ordre du jour déterminé, à la demande du président du conseil général, du préfet ou de la majorité de ses membres.

Elle peut entendre toute personne pouvant lui apporter des informations utiles.

Les délibérations de la conférence sont consignées dans le procès-verbal de séance qui est signé par le président du conseil général et le préfet ; une copie est adressée à chacun des membres.
