Article D323-5 of the French Tourism Code

Operators wishing to obtain classification must submit their application electronically to the body mentioned in article L. 141-2 , together with a visit certificate issued by a type A or C assessment body accredited by the Comité français d’accréditation (COFRAC) or any equivalent European body in accordance with article L. 323-1 for the inspection of furnished accommodation and communal premises and equipment in an establishment applying for classification as a residential tourist village.

An order by the Minister for Tourism specifies the procedure to be followed and the format of the application file.

L’exploitant qui souhaite obtenir le classement transmet par voie électronique à l’organisme mentionné à l’article L. 141-2 sa demande accompagnée du certificat de visite délivré par un organisme évaluateur de type A ou C accrédité par le Comité français d’accréditation (COFRAC) ou tout organisme européen équivalent conformément à l’article L. 323-1 pour le contrôle des locaux d’habitation meublés et des locaux et équipements communs d’un établissement demandant son classement en village résidentiel de tourisme.

Un arrêté du ministre chargé du tourisme précise la procédure à suivre et le format du dossier de demande.
