Article D3411-11 of the French Public Health Code

The Interministerial Committee for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviour prepares the Government’s decisions, at national and international level, concerning the fight against the production, processing, transport and resale of narcotics and related financial transactions on the one hand, and the consumption of these products on the other.

To this end, it promotes prevention, care, social integration, information, research, international cooperation and training for those involved in the fight against drugs and drug addiction.

In addition, this committee contributes to the development of government policy in the field of prevention, care, education and information on addictions that are dangerous to public health or safety.

Le Comité interministériel de lutte contre les drogues et les conduites addictives prépare les décisions du Gouvernement, sur le plan national et international, en ce qui concerne la lutte contre, d’une part, la production, la transformation, le transport, la revente des produits stupéfiants et les transactions financières qui s’y rapportent, et, d’autre part, la consommation de ces produits.

A cette fin, il favorise la prévention, les soins, l’insertion sociale, l’information, la recherche, la coopération internationale et la formation des personnes intervenant dans la lutte contre la drogue et la toxicomanie.

En outre, ce comité contribue à l’élaboration de la politique du Gouvernement dans le domaine de la prévention, de la prise en charge, de l’éducation et de l’information en matière de dépendances dangereuses pour la santé ou la sécurité publiques.
