Article D4152-10 of the French Labour Code

It is prohibited to assign or maintain pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers in workstations exposing them to the following chemical agents:
1° Chemical agents that meet the criteria for classification as toxic for reproduction category 1A, 1B, or additional category for effects on or via breastfeeding as defined in Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008;
2° Benzene;
3° The following derivatives of aromatic hydrocarbons:
a) Nitro and chloronitro derivatives of benzonic hydrocarbons;
b) Dinitrophenol;
c) Aniline and homologues, benzidine and homologues, naphthylamines and homologues.
However, the ban on aromatic hydrocarbon derivatives does not apply when the operations are carried out in closed equipment in normal operation.

Il est interdit d’affecter ou de maintenir les femmes enceintes et les femmes allaitant à des postes de travail les exposant aux agents chimiques suivants :
1° Agents chimiques qui satisfont aux critères de classification pour la toxicité pour la reproduction de catégorie 1A, 1B, ou catégorie supplémentaire des effets sur ou via l’allaitement définis à l’ annexe I du règlement (CE) n° 1272/2008 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 16 décembre 2008 ;
2° Benzène ;
3° Dérivés suivants des hydrocarbures aromatiques :
a) Dérivés nitrés et chloronitrés des hydrocarbures benzoniques ;
b) Dinitrophénol ;
c) Aniline et homologues, benzidine et homologues, naphtylamines et homologues.
Toutefois, l’interdiction relative aux dérivés des hydrocarbures aromatiques ne s’applique pas lorsque les opérations sont réalisées en appareils clos en marche normale.
