Article D45-2-6 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If the committal order with deferred effect is issued against a person who is detained for another reason, the provisions of articles D. 45-2-3 and D. 48-2-5 providing for the convicted person to be summoned, a date for incarceration to be set and an order for the execution of the warrant to be issued are not applicable. The public prosecutor shall enforce the sentence as soon as possible when the sentence is enforceable or when the warrant has been provisionally enforced.

Si le mandat de dépôt à effet différé est décerné contre une personne qui est détenue pour autre cause, les dispositions des articles D. 45-2-3 et D. 48-2-5 prévoyant la convocation du condamné, la fixation d’une date d’incarcération et la délivrance d’un ordre de mise à exécution du mandat ne sont pas applicables. Le procureur de la République met dès que possible la peine à exécution lorsque la condamnation est exécutoire ou lorsque le mandat a été assorti de l’exécution provisoire.
